Zach Wade's final post

the gun for pinnochio lol!!! a few things i'm goin to change are in the handle the ball on the bottom and a few things will be edited in the barrels but im excited for the textures im going to apply glass metal wood and electronic screens to it

the pinochio wall was a good learning experience for me eventhough major mistakes were made in the order of what was done and some texture techniques were not applied like makeing it tileable in the wall it still came out interesting i like the curls lol.

this zbrush model was from a sketch that i always visualized in 3-d it turned out O.K. but there is some undersired poly strecthing behind the big teeth what i would have done different is instead of pulling the polys in the begining i would push them in. but i still like it from this angle.

these lips were created from a tube and then smoothed modeled which i believe came out nice-ish i think i will be taking Sulz advice and define the lips where it hits the skin with some really close edge loops but im goin to have to be creative because the edge of the lips on top arent on the same loop on the bottom. but all in all i think they are ok.

this concept art was for my version of pinnochio in a post apocolyptic world where he isn't accepted by humans because he has been turned into a half-human and half-android by a scientist named gepetto(ithink thats right) in hopes to find his history of his past after. a loner in the world his creator has been kidnapped by mutant humans destroying monsters, robots, and radioactive mutant animals. IT'S A GOOD ONE
but enough about the story this is my first time using photoshop to paint and using the tablet i think it is alright i'm probably going to head martin's advice and make the for ground like something you can peek over and the mid ground more bright and dramatic like a borocco painting filled with drama and meaning showing deep thought in pinocchio's next move. this was a great class and can't wait till it is tunred into a concentration.

  1. Nice job, Zach.
I know how you feel about it, but use that wall in your portfolio. It's really good and the bits you added in on your own (especially the metal curls) are really nice touches.
Looking forward to seeing the gun finished up.
